Isidore Path to open Saturday
Third and final Catholic pilgrimage path on island

The provincial government, the Jeju Tourism Organization, and the Catholic Pilgrimage Committee on Saturday will open a new path of pilgrimage on the island.

The Isidore Path will be the final such route. The first one opened in 2011. The three trails now stretch 33.2 kilometers, and pass by Saemi Hill of Grace Sanctuary and Gosan Catholic Church before ending at Jeju Trinity Catholic Church.

Bishop Gang Woo-il, who serves as a parish priest in Jeju, will conduct a mass Saturday morning to celebrate the path’s opening at Jeju Trinity.

천주교 순례길 마지막 '이시돌길' 23일 개장

제주특별자치도와 제주관광공사, 천주교순례길위원회가 오는 23일 '이시돌길'을 개장합니다.

지난 2011년부터 추진해 온 천주교 순례길의 마지막인 이시돌길은 새미은총의 동산과 삼위일체대성당을 지나 고산 성당에 이르는 3개 코스에 33.2킬로미터로 조성됐습니다.

개장식은 오는 23일 오전 삼위일체대성당에서 개최되며 천주교 제주교구장인 강우일 주교의 미사로 진행될 예정입니다.
