More people moving to Jeju
1,300 in October

The number of people moving to Jeju has been on the increase since July.

According to Statistics Korea, 13-hundred people moved here last month. That’s 400 more than in October 2016.

The influx fell to just 800 new residents in June, but it then topped 1,000 in both July and August.

Most of the people moving here are in their 30s and 40s.

유입인구 다시 늘어…매달 1천명

올 하반기부터 제주 유입인구가 다시 크게 늘고 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.

통계청에 따르면 지난달 제주로 들어온 순유입 인구는 1천 300명으로 지난해 같은 달에 비해 400명 많았습니다.

특히 도내 순유입 인구는 지난 6월 800명까지 떨어졌지만 지난 7월과 8월 1천명 이상씩 늘며 다시 증가폭이 커지는 것으로 분석됐습니다.

한편 도내 유입 인구는 30~40대가 주를 이루는 것으로 나타났습니다.
