Korean Air cuts prices for children with cancer
Children, guardians qualify for up to 45% off Jeju-Gimpo flights

Korean Air will discount flight tickets for children who suffer from leukemia and other types of cancer as well as their guardians.

The airline already offers cheaper tickets to the disabled and people afflicted with other diseases. The Jeju branch of the carrier says it will expand the list of illnesses to include childhood cancer.

Cancer sufferers under the age of 19 along with their guardians are eligible for 30 to 45 percent discounts on tickets between Jeju and Gimpo.

Some 160 minors in Jeju have cancer.

대한항공, 소아암·백혈병 환아 항공료 할인

대한항공이 제주도내 소아암과 백혈병 환아와 보호자에게 항공운임 할인 혜택을 제공합니다.

대한항공 제주지역본부에 따르면 종전부터 시행하던 장애인과 환자승객 운임 할인에 이어 소아암과 백별형 환아와 보호자까지 할인혜택을 확대합니다.

이에따라 제주와 김포 노선을 이용하는 만 18살 이하 환아와 보호자까지 왕복운임이 30%에서 최대 45%가 할인됩니다.

도내 백혈병과 소아암 환아는 160여명에 이르는 것으로 파악되고 있습니다.
