Lower sales at large retailers
Gross sales index down 1.1% in October

Sales at large retailers in Jeju fell in October.

According to the Honam Regional Statistics Office, the gross sales index at large retailers in October was 239.6, 1.1 percent lower than during the same month of 2016.

Clothing sales tumbled the most for any one item - 17 percent. Footwear receipts were off by 6 percent, and food and drink, 2.9 percent.

The industrial production index also dropped in October, with food items and chemicals leading the race downward.

대형소매점 판매·광공업 생산 감소

지난달(10월) 제주지역 대형소매점 판매가 감소했습니다.

호남지방통계청이 발표한 '산업활동 동향'에 따르면 지난달 제주지역 대형소매점 판매액 지수는 239.6으로 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 1.1% 감소했습니다.

품목별로는 의복과 신발 등이 각각 17%, 6%, 음식료품이 2.9% 줄었습니다.

제주지역 광공업생산 지수 역시 식료품과 화학제품을 중심으로 지난해보다 감소했습니다.
