Bangeo Festival underway through Sunday
200,000 to attend event at Moseulpo Port

The 17th Bangeo Festival is running through Sunday at Moseulpo Port.

Bangeo is the Korean name for yellowtail, a fish species for which the area is famous.

The festival organizing committee has lined up a number of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy. They include bare-handed fishing, net fishing, a demonstration of how to prepare the fish for eating raw, and tours of nearby historic sites.

Organizers expect some 200,000 people to stop by the festival.

최남단 방어축제 모슬포항서 개막

제17회 최남단방어축제가 오늘(30일) 개막해 다음달 3일까지 서귀포시 모슬포항 일원에서 열리고 있습니다.

최남단방어축제위원회가 주관하는 이번 축제는 방어 맨손잡기와 가두리 방어낚시체험, 대방어 해체 쇼, 유적지 순례 등 다양한 프로그램으로 진행되고 있습니다.

축제위원회는 이번 축제에 도민과 관광객 20만여 명이 찾을 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.
