Red Cross begins annual fundraising drive
Target: \2.15b by end of January

Representatives from the Korean Red Cross joined Governor Won Hee-ryong Thursday to inaugurate the organization’s annual fundraising drive.

The Red Cross aims to collect 2.15 billion won in donations for its work next year. That’s 4.8 percent more than what it collected for this year’s operations. The money will be used for disaster relief and community service.

It will collect donations through the end of January.

The fundraising drive started in high gear ? Gwak Gyeong-bu, the CEO of electronic publisher Nenero, pledged to donate 100 million won over the next five years.

적십자회비 모금…21억 5천만 원 목표

대한적십자사 제주특별자치도지사가 오늘(30일) 오전 제주시 산지천 광장에서
내년도 적십자회비 모금 선포식을 갖고 본격적인 회비 모금에 나섰습니다.

내년도 목표 모금액은 올해년도 목표액 대비 4.8% 증가한 21억5천만 원으로
모이는 모금액은 이재민을 위한 재난구호나 사회봉사 활동 등에 사용됩니다.

모금기간은 다음달 1일부터 내년 1월말까지 62일 동안 진행됩니다.

한편, 이자리에서 곽경부 내내로 전자출판 대표는 5년동안 1억 원 기부를 약속하기도 했습니다.
