3. JDC to begin work on District J in Myths and History Theme Park
Opening slated for 2020

The Jeju Free International City Development Center will soon begin work on District J in the Myths and History Theme Park.

The JDC released the development plan Thursday. The 270,000-square-meter district will be shaped like Abu Oreum, and its facilities will help visitors learn about, experience, and enjoy different facets of Jeju myths and history.

The JDC is accepting public opinion on the plan through May 28th. It will then apply for construction permits and begin work, with a planned opening in 2020.

신화역사공원 J 지구의 제주신화역사공원 테마공원 조성사업이 본격 추진될 전망입니다.

제주국제자유도시개발센터가 오늘 발표한 주요 사업내용을 보면 신화역사공원 J지구 27만여제곱미터 부지를 '아부오름'으로 형상화해 제주의 신화, 역사와 관련한
다양한 체험과 교육, 오락시설을 갖추게 됩니다.

JDC는 이번 사업계획안에 대해 오는 28일까지 도민의견을 수렴한 후 최종 확정하고 내년 상반기쯤 설계와 인허가, 착공을 거쳐 2020년 개장을 목표로 추진하고 있습니다.
