1. Absentee ballot applications being accepted through Saturday
Eligibility limited to people who can’t physically vote June 13

Voters who can’t make it to polling stations on June 13th can register for mail-in absentee ballots through this Saturday.

Those eligible include people with mobility difficulties or serious physical disabilities as well as people in hospitals, nursing homes, detention centers, or prisons, and soldiers and police officers who are stationed far from their voting district.

Applicants must submit their absentee ballot request at the provincial office or the community service center in the neighborhood in which they are registered to vote.

The Jeju Election Commission will review every application in order to prevent voter fraud.

6.13 지방선거에 따른 거소투표 신고가 26일까지 이뤄집니다.

대상은 중대한 신체장애로 거동할 수 없거나 병원이나 요양소, 수용소, 교도로, 구치소에 있는 경우, 투표소와 멀리 떨어진 영내 또는 함정에 근무하는 군인이나 경찰 등입니다.

신고는 거소투표신고서를 작성해 주민등록이 돼 있는 시청 또는 읍면동주민센터로 우편 발송 또는 직접 제출하면 됩니다.

제주도선관위는 허위신고나 대리투표 발생 가능성이 있는 만큼 접수된 거소투표신고에 대해서는 전수 조사할 예정입니다.
