1. Proposed extension of tax benefits in ‘special’ areas
Jeju Science Park, investment promotion zones, free trade zones

One of Jeju’s representatives at the National Assembly wants to extend tax breaks for firms in the Jeju Science Park as well as the island’s investment promotion zones and free trade zones.

Democratic Party representative Wi Seong-gon has proposed a revision to the Tax Reduction and Exemption Control Act.

His proposal includes the extension of benefits like national and corporate tax cuts, as well as tariff exemptions through the end of 2022.

The existing tax benefits are set to expire at the end of this year.

제주첨단과학기술단지와 제주투자진흥지구, 제주자유무역지역 입주기업에 대한 세금감면혜택 연장 방안이 추진됩니다.

더불어민주당 위성곤 국회의원은 이같은 내용을 담은 조세특례제한법 개정안을 대표 발의했습니다.

주요내용을 보면 제주첨단과학기술단지와 제주투자지흥지구, 제주자유무역지역 입주기업에 대한 법인세 등 국세 감면과 관세 면제를 오는 2022년 12월 31일까지 4년 연장하는 내용을 담고 있습니다.

현재 조세특례제한법상 이들 기업에 대한 세금감면혜택은 올 연말로 마무리됩니다.
