2. April exports up 17.5%
Massive gains in electronics and machinery shipments last month

Exports from Jeju were up considerably last month.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea International Trade Association, exports were up 17.5 percent compared to April 2017 to nearly 11.6 million US dollars.

Electronics exports were up 61 percent and machinery shipments spiked 169 percent. Those gains more than offset decreased exports of local foods and chemical products.

지난달 제주지역 수출 17.5% 증가

지난달 제주지역 수출이 크게 증가했습니다.

한국무역협회 제주지부에 따르면 지난 4월 제주지역 수출은 1천 157만 달러로 지난해 같은 기간과 비교해 17.5% 증가했습니다.

품목별로 보면 전자전기와 기계류가 각각 61%, 169% 증가했고, 농수축산물과
화학제품 수출은 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.
