Seongsanpo Port in Seogwipo will be getting a live fish market.

The 59-hundred-square-meter market will have four floors and one underground level. The province is spending 12.5 billion won on the project, which is slated for completion by the end of next year.

The building will also house restaurants, cultural facilities, and exhibition areas.

Provincial officials say a review of the proposed design is already complete. They say the procurement bidding and contracting process is next, with actual construction scheduled to start in July.

성산포항에 '활어위판장' 조성

서귀포시 성산포항에 활어위판장이 들어섭니다.

제주특별자치도는 성산포항에 내년까지 사업비 125억원을 들여 지상 4층, 지하 1층, 연면적 5천 900제곱미터 규모의 활어위판장을 조성합니다.

활어위판장은 물론 판매장과 식당, 문화시설, 전시장, 관람로 등이 들어서게 됩니다.

제주도는 이미 설계적정성 검토를 마무리했다며 조달청 입찰과 계약을 통해 오는 7월부터 공사에 들어갈 수 있을 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.
