2. Jeju City seeking ￦457.8b in national funding next year
Nearly ￦42b is for new projects, remainder is for ongoing work

Jeju City officials are beginning discussions with national authorities about their request for 457.8 billion won in national funding next year.

The money will be used for 515 budget items. 41.9 billion won is to fund 64 new projects, which include improvements to the Jeju Starlight World Park and Planetarium and work to reduce dust on local roads.

The remaining funding would be used for ongoing projects, which include the installation of livestock waste disposal facilities, work to ensure the “haenyeo” culture is passed down to future generations, and the construction of an overpass at Jeju International Airport.

제주시, 내년 국비 4천578억 신청

제주시가 내년 국비 예산으로 4천 5백 78억 원을 신청하고 중앙부처 절충에 나섭니다.

국비 신청한 사업은 515건으로 이 가운데 도로재비산 먼지 저감사업과 별빛누리공원 천체 투영실 개선사업 등 신규사업 64건에 대해서는 419억 원을 확보한다는 방침입니다.

가축분뇨처리시설 설치와 해녀전승 문화 지원, 제주국제공항 입체교차로 개설 등
계속사업 450여 건에 대해서도 4천 100억 여원을 확보하기 위해 중앙 절충을 강화하고 있습니다.
