4. Jeju Business Agency announces support for local companies
Agency will cover 50% of freight costs for shipping products to mainland

The Jeju Business Agency will help local wholesalers and retailers, including those that operate out of traditional markets, cover freight costs when they ship their products to the mainland.

The agency will pay 50 percent of the shipping costs. Support is limited to 200 shipments or 500,000 won per company. It is now accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis.

It offered this type of aid for the first time last year, when it helped about 200 local businesses make about 30,000 product shipments to elsewhere in the country.

전통시장·골목상권 도외 택배비 지원

제주경제통상진흥원이 전통시장과 골목상권 내 도소매업장에 대해 도외 택배비를 지원하기로 하고 신청을 받고 있습니다.

지원내용은 도외로 배송되는 택배비의 50%, 그리고 업체당 최대 200건까지, 금액으로는 50만원으로 예산이 소진될 때까지 선착순으로 접수합니다.

제주경제통상진흥원은 지난해 처음으로 이같은 제도를 시행해 200여개 업체에 3만건의 도외 물류비용을 지원한 바 있습니다.
