1. Official campaign season begins
Candidates allowed to engage in all forms of electioneering through June 12

Candidates in the June 13th elections were allowed to begin full-fledged, official campaign activities Thursday.

The Jeju Election Commission says the period for online and traditional electioneering activities extends through June 12th.

For the next two weeks, candidates are allowed to give speeches and engage in public discussions about their plans. They may also campaign on the streets as well as get their message out through newspapers, broadcasts, and leaflets.

Candidates are allowed campaign through social media and text messages on election day, itself.

31일부터 6.13 지방선거 선거운동이 시작됩니다.

제주도선거관리위원회는 31일부터 선거일 전날인 6월 12일까지 온.오프라인을 통해 자유롭게 선거운동을 할 수 있다고 밝혔습니다.

이 기간 후보자는 공개된 장소에서 연설과 대담을 할 수 있고 차량 거리유세, 신문과 방송, 인쇄물을 활용한 선거운동도 가능합니다.

SNS나 문자메시지 등을 이용한 선거운동은 선거일인 6월 13일에도 가능합니다.
