2. Jeju land prices rise 17.5%
Highest growth in the nation

Despite a falling number of transactions, the price of Jeju land continues to rise.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Jeju land prices were up 17.5 percent in January compared to the year before. That’s the highest growth in the country.

Seogwipo had the highest growth for a city, at 18.7 percent. Jeju City followed in the number two slot with 16.7 percent growth.

Ministry representatives say the rising prices are the result of both a growing island population and investments in various development projects.

부동산 거래량이 줄어들며 시장이 위축되는 가운데서도 제주 땅값은 계속해서 오르고 있습니다.

국토교통부가 올해 1월 기준 개별공시지가를 산정한 결과 제주는 지난해보다 평균 17.5% 올라 전국에서 가장 높은 상승률을 보였습니다.

개별공시지가 상승률을 전국 시.군.구별로 보면 서귀포시가 18.7%로 전국 1위,
이어 16.7% 오른 제주시가 두 번째로 높았습니다.

국토부는 각종 개발사업에 따른 투자 자금 유입과 인구 증가로 땅값이 크게 오른 분석했습니다.
