Most complaints based on higher tax bills

An increasing number of homeowners are objecting to the official appraisals of their properties.

Jeju City accepted objections for the appraisals of the roughly 58,000 single-family detached homes in the city last month, and 438 property owners submitted them.

That’s 33 percent more than last year.

38 percent of this year’s objections were based on the the higher tax bill associated with the increased home value. Building age and a poor residential environment were some of the other reasons given for objecting to the assessments.



개별주택가격 이의 신청 증가…"세금 부담"

개별주택가격을 열람한 이후 행정에 이의를 신청하는 사례가 늘고 있습니다.

제주시가 지난 한달 동안 개별주택 5만 8천여 호에 대한 가격 이의신청을 받은 결과 438건이 접수됐습니다.

이 같은 이의신청 건수는 지난해 329건보다 33% 증가한 것입니다.

사유로는 주택가격 상승에 따른 각종 세금 부담이 증가한다는 이유가 38%로 가장 많았고 건물 노후화, 주거환경 열악이 뒤를 이었습니다.
