2. Province announces new tax breaks
Benefits for job-creating firms, long-term owners of farmland

The provincial government is cutting taxes for companies that create jobs as well as long-term owners of farmland.

The province will cut 30 percent of the property tax bills for owners of less than 10,000 square meters of farmland, if it was acquired before May 31st, 1990.

Companies with main or branch offices here as of December 31st last year that hire more employees qualify for a full exemption of their corporate residence tax for three years and up to 50 percent off their vehicle tax bills for up to 5 company cars.

The provincial council will submit a bill on these benefits to the provincial council this month.

농지세 감면·일자리 창출 세제 혜택

지가 상승에 따른 농지 재산세 감면과 일자리 창출 기업에 대한 세제 지원이 추진됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 지난 1990년 5월 31일 이전에 취득한 농지이면서 면적이 1만 제곱미터 이하인 경우 재산세율을 30% 인하합니다.

또 2017년 12월 31일 이전에 도내 본점 또는 지점이 있는 법인이 추가 인력을 고용할 경우 3년간 법인균등분 주민세 전액을 면제하고 법인 소유 자동차세를 최대 5대에 대해 50%까지 감면합니다.

제주도는 이같은 내용의 조례안을 이달 중 열리는 도의회 임시회에 제출할 예정입니다.
