5. Official beach season begins June 23
Open 10 AM to at least 7 PM

Beach season begins in about two-and-a-half weeks.

Provincial officials say Hyeopjae, Hamdeok, and Gwakji beaches will officially open on June 23rd. All others will open July first.

Standard opening hours are from ten a.m. to seven p.m., but during the busy month that begins July 14th, some will remain open into the night.

About 2.78 million people visited local beaches last year.


제주지역 해수욕장 23일부터 순차적 개장

도내 해수욕장이 오는 23일부터 순차적으로 개장합니다.

제주특별자치도는 오는 23일부터 협재와 함덕, 곽지 해수욕장을 시작으로
다음달 1일 도내 해수욕장이 일제히 개장한다고 밝혔습니다.

해수욕장 이용시간은 오전 10시부터 저녁 7시가지로 여름 성수기인 다음달 14일부터 한달동안은 곳에 따라 야간개장도 실시합니다.

한편 지난해 도내 해수욕장 이용객은 278만 명에 달했습니다.
