4. Jeju City to host of ‘Month of Culture’ next year
Culture ministry giving city \300m for events

Jeju City will host a “Month of Culture” next year.

The culture ministry sponsors the program, and will give Jeju City 300 million won in national funding to help organize it.

The city will put on a variety of events in old Jeju City and at the Jeju Culture and Arts Center on and around the third Saturday of October 2019.

The theme will revolve around Jeju’s unique cultural assets, and the events will include traditional performances, a parade, and a photo exhibition.

Jeju last held a “Month of Culture” in 2006.

문화체육관광부가 주관하는 내년 '문화의 달' 행사 개최 지역으로
제주시가 선정돼 국비 3억 원을 확보했습니다.

이에따라 내년 10월 셋째 주 토요일을 전후해 제주 원도심과 문예회관 등을 중심으로 다양한 문화 행사가 열리게 됩니다.

'제주의 색으로 피어나는 문화'를 주제로 전통 공연과 신화 퍼레이드,
과거 사진전 등이 열리게 됩니다.

제주에서는 지난 2006년 문화의 달 행사가 열린 바 있습니다.
