3. Province announces changes to casino ordinances
New rules on chips, ID checks, and employee training period

The provincial government has given advance notice of changes to casino ordinances.

Each casino will have to use clearly marked unique chips and create detailed specifications to prevent chip counterfeiting.

The government says it has also clarified ID checks for casino patrons by creating more detailed rules on when and where their identification must be checked when they enter the establishments. Finally, it cut the training period for casino employees from two years to just one.
