2. Ideas wanted for placement of new CCTV security cameras
Province plans to install them in high-risk areas

The province is asking local residents where they think new CCTV security cameras should be installed to prevent crime.

Officials are accepting public opinion on the issue through the end of the month. After on-site inspections, they will give the candidate sites priority for the installation of new cameras.

They are focusing on crime-prone areas, locations from which a lot of emergency calls are made, and sites where violent crimes have been committed.

Provincial authorities are this year installing the cameras in 84 locations that are deemed at-risk for crimes or accidents.

제주특별자치도가 범죄 예방을 위한 CCTV를 추가 설치하기로 하고 수요조사에 나섭니다.

특히 우범지역과 112신고지역, 강력범죄 발생지역을 우선 설치지역으로 고려하기로 했습니다.

한편, 제주도는 올해 생활안전 사각지대 84개소에 CCTV를 설치하고 있습니다.
