Moon Dae-rim ‘can influence national authorities’
Candidate (문대림) Moon Dae-rim from the Democratic Party of Korea has jointly electioneered with influential figures of the party, under the slogan of “Choose a nationally influential governor”.
His camp organized a team to seek input from the residents to formulate provincial policy.
Recording
Chu Mi-ae / Leader, Democratic Party of Korea
As the leader of my party, I ask for your support in voting for Moon Dae-rim. Moon and my party will work closely with the transport ministry to redesign the island’s public transport system, which is currently just a waste of money that causes traffic congestion.

Kim Bang-hoon promotes ‘politics to enhance daily life’
Candidate (김방훈) Kim Bang-hoon from the Liberty Korea Party has focused on contacting residents under the slogan “Politics to enhance daily life”.
To encourage young voters to support Kim, his camp uses a webtoon that explains his key pledges.
INTERVIEW
Han Gwang-moon / Spokesperson, Kim Bang-hoon campaign
Kim is the oldest of the five candidates, so we are trying to communicate with younger voters through a webtoon that explains Kim’s key pledges in easy and accessible language.

Jang Seong-cheol uses bike to canvass
Candidate (장성철) Jang Seong-cheol from the (바른미래) Bareunmirae Party carries a speaker and visits all the corners of residential areas by bike instead of an election campaign truck.
Jang focuses on economic policies for ordinary people and roles of mediation of conflicts, saying his party is the representative opposition party.
INTERVIEW
Hyeon Deok-gyu / Representative, Jang Seong-cheol campaign
We’re meeting people to explain our pledges and listen to them, judging that displaying power does little to contribute to their lives.

Ko Eun-yeong minimizes use of campaign trucks, loudspeakers
Ko Eun-yeong from the Korean Green Party adopts interactive campaigning to better listen to residents’ voices instead of one-sided electioneering.
To avoid loud campaigning, Ko uses a minimum number of election campaign trucks and loudspeakers.
INTERVIEW
Yoon Gyeong-mi / Representative, Ko Eun-yeong campaign
Ko just brings a small speaker when she gives talks. Campaign trucks only go to the places she cannot easily access.

Won Heeryong campaign employs social media, electric vehicles
The independent (원희룡) Won Heeryong emphasizes that he does not belong to any political party to more focus on taking care of people and chooses ordinary people as supporting speakers, not politicians.
Especially, Won broadcasts spots of his campaign rallies on social media and uses eco-friendly vehicles when meeting with voters.
INTERVIEW
Gang Jeon-ae / Spokesperson, Won Heeryong campaign
Won takes an electric kickboard to meet younger voters. They like it. We also created “Won Heeryong TV” to broadcast his campaign rallies to voters.
This election has seen the most number of candidates running for governor in Jeju’s history.
