2. Governor, superintendent of education return to work
Both had to give up official duties while campaigning

Won Hee-ryong has gone back to work as governor after winning a second term.

Won held a meeting Thursday at the provincial office and thanked public officials for their hard work while he was officially suspended from his duties as he campaigned.

He also encouraged them to work with him and expand communication with islanders.

The superintendent of education began his second term by paying respects to the dead at the Jeju April Third Peace Park and the veterans’ cemetery in Jeju City. Lee Seok-mun then visited local schools to greet students and hosted a luncheon with education office executives to thank them for their hard work while he was suspended from official duties for the duration of his re-election campaign.

이석문 교육감 당선인도 직무 복귀 첫날 제주 4.3평화공원과 제주시 충혼묘지를 참배한데 이어 학교에서 학생들과 인사를 하고 도교육청 실국장들과 오찬을 함께하며 그동안 업무 공백을 최소화한데 대한 인사를 나눴습니다.
