3. Bus information system to be revamped
Work scheduled for completion by end of November

The provincial government is revamping Jeju’s public bus information system though the end of November.

It will replace the printed destination labels on 105 buses with LED signs as well as update the information screens and voice guidance systems for passengers. Officials say those systems will be on par with those used in subways once the work is done.

The new system will also include audio alerts at bus stops to inform riders of detours due to heavy snow, traffic accidents, or other problems.

Finally, riders will also be provided with a better search function for timetables and area maps, and they will be given real-time fine dust updates.

승객용 안내기 화면과 안내음성을 지하철 수준까지 성능을 향상합니다.

또 폭설이나 도로통제, 교통사고 등 돌발상황에 따른 우회 운행하는 경우 버스정류장에 설치된 안내기를 통해 음성 안내됩니다.

이와 함께 버스운행시간표와 주변지도 검색 기능을 보완하고 실시간 미세먼지 정보도 제공할 예정입니다.
