5. Wanted: original stories based on Jeju cultural archetypes

The Jeju Foundation for Arts & Culture is running a contest about stories of Jeju cultural archetypes.

Submissions may be in the form plays, dances, musicals, or traditional (판소리) pansori performances. They must be original stories related to local culture, like myths, haenyeo culture, and farming.

Participants can submit their creations by regular mail, e-mail, or in person between August 6th and the 10th.

The foundation will award the top submissions with up to five million won in prize money as well as support for putting on an actual performance of the stories.

제주문화원형 스토리 공모

제주문화예술재단이 제주문화원형 스토리 공모전을 엽니다.

공모는 제주신화와 해녀, 목축문화와 같은 제주문화원형을 주제로 연극과 무용, 뮤지컬 판소리 등 공연을 전제로 한 순수창작 스토리가 대상입니다.

접수는 8월6일부터 10일까지로 우편이나 방문, 이메일을 통해 할 수 있습니다.

수상작에 대해서는 최대 500만 원의 상금과 함께 실제 공연물로 제작될 수 있도록
지원이 이뤄집니다.
