I need to communicate with area residents better. I realize that I must be willing to change my mind, even if I think I’m right. I should listen more.

"소통을 더 노력해야 되겠구나. 내가 옳으니까 당신들이 알아줘야 된다라는 이 자세를 버리지 않고는 제 앞길이 열리지 않을 것이라는 것을 절감할 수 있었습니다."
There are many pending issues where the province should listen to the voice of area residents.
The research for the island’s second airport is under inspection.
The new waste disposal system and the public transportation system have received criticism.
The unfinished, so called, “happy housing” project in Donam-dong, the business permission of foreign for-profit hospitals and the verification of the capital of the (오라) Ora Tourism Complex are the major issues the previous administration left incomplete.

Pending issues will test Won’s communication abilities
The incoming provincial administration that begins July 1st should provide guidance for how to communicate and resolve conflicts with area residents on those issues.
To fulfill Won’s election pledges with a hefty price tag, he needs to find financial resources.
Won announced that youth employment policies are the top priority among his campaign pledges.
He promised to create 10,000 jobs in the public sector, give 500,000 won of monthly allowance to youth and organize a job-seeking support center.
He also promised to improve labor conditions for workers involved in the social welfare service sector and to help parents lessen the burden of childcare.

Ample investment will be made to fulfill the policies. Jeju’s residents are its owners, and I’ll do my best to ensure they are the beneficiaries of the policies.

"충분히 투자해서 이제는 도민들이 주인으로서 자부심, 제주를 키워나가는 도민들이 잘 살 수 있고 혜택으로 돌아온다는 주인의식으로 연결될 수 있도록 전력을 다하겠습니다. "

The Democratic Party achieved an overwhelming victory at the June 13th local elections.
Local issues that need support from the national government will be a testbed of the ability for leadership of the independent governor, Won Hee-ryong, in Seoul and the National Assembly.
