5. Seogwipo to provide senior citizens' centers with air purifiers
National government picking up part of the tab

Seogwipo will outfit 145 senior citizens' centers with air purifiers in the latter half of this year.

Officials are over the next month drawing up a detailed distribution plan based on the size and usage statistics of the centers. A demand survey will follow, and authorities will then use all of that data to begin installing the devices in August.

The National Assembly passed a bill related to this project, so the national government will partially fund the installation of the purifiers.

서귀포시, 경로당에 공기청정기 보급

서귀포시가 올 하반기에 경로당 145개소에 공기청정기를 보급합니다.

이를 위해 다음달 중에 면적이나 회원 수를 고려한 세부추진계획을 수립하고
경로당별 수요조사 후 8월부터 보급할 계획입니다.

이번 사업은 국회에서 경로당에 대한 공기청정기 보급사업이 의결되면서 국비 일부를 지원받아 이뤄지는 것입니다.
