1. Province releases fifth energy independence plan
10-year roadmap focuses on renewable energy

The provincial government has released its fifth energy independence plan.

It focuses on renewable energy, but it also includes the construction of an LNG combined cycle power plant, the building of other LNG facilities in Aewol, and the laying of a third underwater high-voltage line between Jeju and the mainland.

There are a total of 27 specific projects in six categories. They also include support for on- and offshore wind farms and solar cells.

The plans will be enacted this year and carried out over the next decade.

제주도, 제5차 지역에너지 계획 발표

제주특별자치도가 신재생에너지 중심의 제5차 지역에너지 자립 계획을 발표했습니다.

제주도는 안정적인 에너지 공급 인프라 구축을 위해 LNG 복합화력 건설사업과 애월 LNG 건설사업, 제3해저연계선 건설을 차질없이 추진하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

아울러 육상 풍력과 해상 풍력, 태양광 지원사업 등 6개 분야 27개 세부 사업도
진행할 계획입니다.

이번 5차 지역에너지 자립 계획은 올해부터 2027년까지 10년동안 추진됩니다.
