3. Jeju City authorities on the hunt for knockoffs
53 counterfeit products discovered in first round of inspections

Jeju City is cracking down on stores that sell knockoffs.

City authorities recently teamed up with the representatives from the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency for inspections in Yeondong. Inspectors discovered 53 counterfeit products, like clothing items and bags, in seven stores.

These were the first violations that have been documented, so authorities ordered the shops to take corrective actions.

Authorities will head out for more inspections in November.



해외 브랜드 위조 상품 판매 업체 적발

유명 해외브랜드 위조상품을 팔던 업체가 잇따라 적발됐습니다.

제주시는 최근 한국지식재산보호원과 함께 제주시 연동 일대 위조상품 단속에 나서 해외 유명 브랜드 의류와 가방 등을 위조한 7개 업체에서 53점을 적발했습니다.

적발된 업체에는 1차 시정권고가 내려졌습니다.

제주시는 오는 11월 하반기 단속을 추가로 실시할 계획입니다.
