5. Crackdown on stores using AC with open doors
Violators face fines of up to ￦3m

Jeju City authorities will soon be hitting the streets to make sure stores are not leaving their doors open in the summer heat while they crank the air conditioning inside.

The ten-week crackdown begins July third. Authorities will be inspecting the city’s major commercial districts, including Haksa-ro around Jeju City Hall, (누웨모루) Nuwemoru Street, and Chilseong-ro.

Violators face fines of between 500,000 and 3 million won.

문 열고 냉방기기 사용 상점가 단속

제주시가 여름철 상점가 문을 열고 냉방기기를 사용하는 행위를 단속합니다.

단속은 다음달 3일부터 9월 7일까지 10주 동안 제주시청 학사로와 연동 누웨모루 거리, 칠성로 상점가 등 주요 상권지역을 대상으로 이뤄집니다.

문을 열고 냉방을 하다 적발될 경우 50만 원부터 최대 300만 원까지 과태료가 부과될 수 있습니다.
