4. Lee Jung-seop’s masterpiece on display in Seogwipo
‘OX’ recently sold for ￦4.7b at auction

The most famous, and most valuable, painting by (이중섭) Lee Jung-seop is on display in Seogwipo.

The (이중섭) Lee Jung-seob Art Museum is exhibiting “OX” through October 7th.

Other creations of the master that feature the animal, including “Fighting OX,” are also being showcased.

‘OX’ fetched 4.7 billion won in March through a sale at Seoul Auction.

이중섭 작품 최고가 '소', 제주서 전시

최근 미술품 경매에서 이중섭 작품 가운데 최고가를 기록한 '소'가 제주에 전시됩니다.

서귀포 이중섭미술관은 오는 10월 7일까지 특별기획전 '소, 사랑하는 모든 것'을 개최합니다.

이번 전시에는 이중섭의 대표작인 '소'와 '싸우는 소' 등 소를 주제로 한 작품을 비롯해 올해 새로 구입한 양면화가 공개됩니다.

특히 '소' 작품은 지난 3월 서울옥션을 통해 47억 원에 판매되면서 이중섭 작품 가운데 최고가를 기록했습니다.
