3. Province may extend rental car ban on Udo
Public hearing on Monday to discuss issue

Provincial officials are considering extending the ban on rental cars on the small island of Udo.

The province will hold a public hearing on Monday at the Udo community center to highlight the ban’s accomplishments over the last year and hear what area residents have to say about it.

The ban went into effect last August. Since then, the number of visitors and vehicles being ferried to the island each day have fallen by an average of 15 percent and 68 percent, respectively.

지난해 8월부터 시행한 우도 내 운행제한으로 하루 평균 방문객과 차량은 정책 시행 전보다 각각 15%와 68% 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.
