4. Nation’s first reuse center for EV batteries
Ground broken in Jeju Science Park on \20b facility

Jeju Science Park will be getting the nation’s first center tasked with reusing dead electric vehicle batteries.

Jeju Technopark recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the facility.

20 billion won in national and local funding will be used to build the three-floor center on a 24-hundred square meter plot of land within the science park.

Jeju Technopark will be in charge of running the center, which will include research facilities to inspect discarded vehicle batteries and grade them according to their suitability for reuse.

전국 최초로 전기차 폐배터리 재사용센터가 제주첨단과학기술단지에 조성됩니다.

제주테크노파크는 첨단과학기술단지 현지에서 전기차 폐배터리 재사용센터 착공식을 가졌습니다.

국비와 지방비 등 200억 원이 투입되는 폐배터리 재사용센터는 2천 4백여 제곱미터 부지에 지상 3층 규모로 지어집니다.

테크노파크가 운영을 맡게 되며 배터리 잔량 검사와 등급 판정을 위한 연구시설 등이 갖춰집니다.
