1. Jeju City to trial shorter working days for public bus drivers
Two shifts will be introduced on some routes

Jeju City will try splitting the working day into two shifts for public bus drivers on some rural routes.

The change, which goes into effect his month, follows a revision to the Labor Standards Act that stipulates a 52-hour work week.

Local officials will review the results of this trial, and expand the new system in phases to include all city routes by January, while hiring new drivers as needed.
