4. ‘Light Art Festa’ begins July 27

A new festival will open later this month that brings light to Jeju nights.

The Jeju Tourism Organization says the Jeju Light Art Festa begins July 27th on a 66,000 square-meter site in Jocheon-eup, Jeju City.

The event includes 14 creations of six artists from around the globe, including the renowned Bruce Munro.

The festival ends October 24th, but the exhibits will remain in place after that for visitors to enjoy.

세계적 조명 축제 '제주 라프' 27일 개막

세계적 조명 예술가들의 작품들을 만나볼 수 있는 야간 관광명소가 제주에 문을 엽니다.

제주관광공사는 세계적인 조명 축제인 제주 라프가 오는 27일 제주시 조천읍 소재 6만6천여 제곱미터 부지에서 그랜드 오픈한다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 조명 축제에는 조명 예술계의 세계적 거장 브루스 먼로를 비롯한 세계적인 작가 6명의 작품 14점이 선보입니다.

한편 제주 라프측은 이 축제가 10월 24일까지 진행되지만 축제가 끝난 후에도 상설 전시를 계속 이어나갈 계획입니다.
