5. Some schools start summer vacation next week
Longest break: 51 days, shortest: 17

Summer vacation begins as early as July 19th for some island students.

The provincial education office says elementary schools will be taking between 22 and 51 days of break this year. 14 of them, including (곽금) Gwakgeum Elementary School, will have a ceremony marking the beginning of vacation next Friday.

Most middle and high schools will have their ceremony on either the 19th or the 20th.

(신성) Shinseong Girl’s High School, Aewol High, and Hamdeok High School have the shortest vacations at only 17 days.
(법환) Beophwan Elementary has the longest at 51.

19일부터 학교 여름방학…최장 51일

제주도내 각급 학교가 오는 19일부터 순차적으로 여름방학에 들어갑니다.

제주도교육청에 따르면 초등학교는 오는 20일 곽금초를 비롯한 14개 학교가 방학식을 개최하는 등 최소 22일에서 길게는 51일간 방학기간에 들어갑니다.

중.고등학교 대부분은 오는 19일과 20일 방학식을 개최합니다.

방학기간은 신성여고와 애월고, 함덕고가 17일로 가장 짧고, 법환초등학교가 51일로 가장 깁니다.
