5. Geomun Oreum trekking festival kicks off July 28
The World Heritage Site to open daily 8am-1pm

An international trekking festival on Jeju’s World Natural Heritage Site (거문 오름)Geomun Oreum... will take place from July 28th through August 6th.

This year marks the eleventh year of this annual event.

Weekend performances… eco-friendly hands-on programs... and World Natural Heritage Site food-samplings will be on offer.

No prior booking is required to tour the Oreum during the festival… and visitors will be able to explore typically closed-off trails, such as (용암길)Yongam-gil and (진물길)Jinmul-gil… during the ten-day run.

The site will be open between 8am and 1pm daily... and free shuttle services will be provided.


5. 거문오름 국제트레킹 28일 개막

세계자연유산 거문오름 국제트레킹이
오는 28일부터 다음달 6일까지 열흘동안 진행됩니다.

올해로 11회째를 맞는 이번 행사에는
다양한 주말공연이 열리며 행사장에는 친환경 체험부스와
세계자연유산지구 음식 체험프로그램도 마련됩니다.

특히 행사 기간에는 사전 예약 없이
거문오름을 무료로 탐방할 수 있으며
개방되지 않던 용암길과 진물길도 개방됩니다.

탐방시간은 오전 8시부터 오후 1시까지로 제한되며
탐방객들을 위한 무료셔틀버스도 운영됩니다.
