4. Jeju Happy Taxi Tours kick off
Fixed daily rates, no commission fees

As of Friday, Jeju has started operating so-called “Jeju Happy Taxi Tours”... a no-strings-attached full-day tour service… in the luxury of your own private taxi and chauffeur for the day.

The Happy Taxi Tour service was devised on the back of complaints about extra charges and cash requests that come with guided tours, as well as forced stops at souvenir stores.

The new taxi tour service comes at a fixed rate, based solely on the number of hours used. For up to 9 hours a day, it costs 150,000 won for a typical four-seater taxi and 230,000 won for larger taxis that can accommodate up to 9 people. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance at www.jejutaxitour.co.kr.

A total of 48 large-sized and 298 mid-sized taxis will be operated on a trial basis from July 20th… and the taxi tour service is expected to be in full swing by September.


'관광행복택시' 운영…사전 예약제

20일부터 제주에 '관광행복택시'가 운영됩니다.

운영은 사전 예약에 따른 정액운임제로 이뤄지며,
요금은 하루 9시간에 중형은 15만원, 대형 23만원입니다.

관광행복택시 시범 운영에는
대형택시 48대와 중형택시 298대가 참여합니다.

제주도는 알선 수수료와 비용 외 추가적인 현금 청구 금지 등
고질적인 문제를 차단하기 위해 '관광행복택시'를 도입했다고 밝혔습니다.
