2. Jeju airport is nation’s 2nd busiest
Only Incheon handled more flights in first half of 2018

Jeju International Airport is the second busiest in the nation.

The transport ministry says air traffic in the first half of 2018 grew 5.4 percent on-year to 394,000 flights, which are defined as takeoffs, landings, or planes passing through Korean airspace.

Incheon International Airport handled the most, at roughly 176,000. Jeju followed with about 85,000.

Next in line were the airports in Gimpo, Uljin, Muan, Yangyang, Yeosu, and Ulsan, in that order.

제주국제공항 항공기 이착륙이 인천에 이어 2번째 많은 것으로 나타났습니다.

국토교통부에 따르면 올 상반기 우리나라의 항공 교통량은 39만 4천여대로 지난해 같은기간보다 5.4% 증가했습니다.

이 가운데 인천공항을 통한 교통량은 17만 6천여대로 가장 많고 제주공항이 8만 5천여대로 뒤를 이었습니다.

제주 다음으로 김포와 울진, 무안, 양양, 여수, 울산 공항 순을 보였습니다.
