5. JTO to boost accessibility of Visit Jeju website
‘Hard to navigate for severely disabled’

The Jeju Tourism Organization is improving the accessibility of Visit Jeju, its official website for island tourism information.

This is a response to a recent survey by the Jeju Disabled Human Rights Forum. Respondents said the site was hard to navigate for people with severe disabilities.

The JTO plans to revamp the site in consultation with experts in order to receive an official accessibility certificate by the end of the year.

The organization says it will also boost content and other services for people who struggle to enjoy the island’s tourist attractions.

제주관광공사가 제주관광정보 공식 사이트인 비짓제주에 대한 웹접근성을 개선합니다.

이번 조치는 최근 제주장애인권포럼에서 실시한 관광지 웹접근성 실태조사에서
중증장애인이 접근하기 어렵다는 결과에 따른 것입니다.

특히 비짓제주 사이트 전반에 대한 웹접근성 컨설팅을 실시해 연내에 공인 인증을 받을 계획입니다.

이와함께 관광약자를 위한 콘텐츠와 서비스 제공도 강화해 나갈 예정입니다.
