Supreme Court suspended work on Yerae Resort Complex 3 years ago

The developer of the Yerae Resort Complex is seeking monetary compensation from the provincial government and the Seogwipo municipal administration for damages incurred in the stalled project.

Provincial representatives say Berjaya Jeju Resort filed suit against the province and Seogwipo in March at Seoul Central District Court.

The developer is also seeking 350 billion won in compensation from the Jeju Free International City Development Center.

The construction of the resort has been suspended for three years since the Supreme Court ruled that land expropriation for the project was invalid.

버자야, 제주도·서귀포시 손해배상 청구

예래휴양형주거단지 조성사업과 관련해 사업자인 버자야제주리조트가 제주도와 서귀포시를 대상으로 손해배상을 청구했습니다.

제주도에 따르면 버자야제주리조트는 지난 3월, 서울중앙지방법원에 제주도와 서귀포시를 상대로 손해배상 청구소송을 제기했습니다.

버자야는 이미 제주국제자유도시개발센터에 3천 5백억원대 손해배상을 청구했습니다.

현재 예래휴양형주거단지는 토지 수용이 무효라는 대법원 판결 이후 3년째 공사가 중단됐습니다.
