Growers earned nearly \946b, 4% more than year before

Mandarin orange growers earned a record amount for the crop grown last year.

Last year’s harvest was the smallest, at 567,000 tons, since the year 2000. The Jeju Citrus Marketing and Shipping Association determined that citrus farms earned 945.8 billion won from it, excluding distribution costs. That’s four percent more than the year before.

By variety, outdoor-grown “onju” mandarins brought in the most income, at 537 billion won. Growers earned another 80 billion on 22,000 tons of greenhouse-grown “onju.”

지난해산 감귤 조수입이 9천400억원으로 역대 최고를 기록했습니다.

제주특별자치도 감귤출하연합회가 2017년산 감귤 유통처리 상황을 분석한 결과
감귤조수입 즉 유통비를 제외한 농가 수입은 9천458억원으로 전년에 비해 4% 증가해 역대 가장 많았습니다.

반면 생산량은 57만 6천여톤으로 2000년대 이후 가장 적은 양을 기록했습니다.

품종별로는 노지온주가 44만톤에 조수입 5천370억원으로 전체의 절반이상을 차지했고, 다음이 하우스 온주로 2만2천톤에 800억원으로 분석됐습니다.
