2. Lotte Tour enters gaming industry
Dream Tower developer now owns Paradise Jeju Lotte Casino

One of the developers of the Jeju Dream Tower has purchased the Paradise Jeju Lotte Casino in the Jungmun Lotte Hotel.

Lotte Tour Development will pay 43.4 billion won to be the sole owner of the business. It has already made a downpayment of 15 billion won, and the company has agreed to a payment plan for the remaining 28.4 billion.

This is Lotte Tour’s first foray into the gaming industry, and the purchase means the company now has access to all of the personnel and computer systems used by the casino.

Lotte Tour representatives say there has been no decision about moving the casino to the Jeju Dream Tower. They say that the company will continue to operate it out of the Lotte Hotel for now.

롯데관광개발, 카지노 진출…드림타워 이전?

제주드림타워 복합리조트 사업 주체인 롯데관광개발이 서귀포 중문단지 롯데호텔의
'파라다이스 제주롯데 카지노'를 인수했습니다.

매매대금은 434억원으로 지분 100%를 150억원에 인수하고 현재 파라다이스 제주롯데 카지노의 부채 284억원도 상환하기로 했습니다.

이에 따라 카지노사업에 진출하는 롯데관광개발은 '파라다이스 제주롯데 카지노'의
인력과 전산시스템을 그대로 승계받게 됩니다.

제주드림타워로의 이전에 대해서는 아직 결정된 바 없다며 현재는 롯데호텔에서 직영체제로 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.
