Flight from Hokkaido arrives early Saturday morning

Chartered flights between Jeju and Japanese cities are offering vacationers here and there more chances to travel.

The Jeju Tourism Organization says a chartered plane made its first flight from Hokkaido last Saturday, and that it will come again this Saturday.

JTO representatives envision expanding the service by adding Hokkaido tour packages to entice Jeju residents to make the trip to Japan.

They say the new flight route is also helpful regarding expanding flights at Jeju International Airport, because it arrives here in the early morning??that’s the only time of the day the local facility can handle more planes.

제주와 일본 지방도시를 잇는 쌍방향 전세기 관광상품이 잇따라 취항해 눈길을 끌고 있습니다.

제주관광공사에 따르면 28일과 다음달 4일 일본 홋카이도에서 전세기가 취항합니다.

특히 제주도민의 일본 홋카이도 관광상품으로도 동시에 판매되는 쌍방향 전세기로 취항 확대가 기대됩니다.

또 제주공항의 슬롯이 포화된 상황에서 새벽시간 제주 도착편으로 기획돼 신규 항공노선 유치에도 도움을 줄 전망입니다.
