5. Foreign students in Korea promoting Jeju tourism
Jeju Tourism Organization hires 16 ‘Jeju Supporters’

The Jeju Tourism Organization has organized a group of foreign students in Korea to promote Jeju tourism.

The 16 “Jeju Supporters” come from eight countries. Six of them live on the mainland, while the remaining ten reside in Jeju.

They will create promotional content every month and publish it on social media, the JTO’s Visit Jeju website, and other online sites so that people from their home countries can learn more about travel to the island.

The tourism organization plans to keep supporting these foreign students as part of efforts to attract more individual international travelers to Jeju.

외국인 유학생 제주관광 홍보 서포터즈

도내외 외국인 유학생들로 구성된 제주관광 홍보 서포터즈가 구성돼 본격 활동에 들어갔습니다.

이번에 구성된 외국인 유학생 서포터즈는 도외 6명, 도내 10명 등 8개국 16명으로 구성됐습니다.

이들은 매달 자국민들이 선호하는 제주 관광콘텐츠를 제작해 비짓제주와 SNS 등
온라인 채널을 통해 홍보하는 역할을 하게 됩니다.

제주관광공사는 앞으로도 개별관광객 유치 확대를 위해 외국인 유학생 서포터즈 활동을 지속해 나갈 계획입니다.
