4. Dongseogwang-ro to get central bus lanes
11 km stretch from Jeju National Museum to Wolsan Village

The province will add more central bus lanes to local roads, similar to the ones already in use in Ara-dong.

It will spend 630 million won this year to design 11 kilometers of the lanes along Dongseogwang-ro from Jeju National Museum to (월산) Wolsan Village in Nohyeong.

The province will brief area residents on the plans next month. If it secures the budget for the project, it will make the changes next year.

This comes as the provincial government plans to extend the existing central bus lanes from Ara Elementary School to Jeju National University Hospital.

버스중앙차로 동서광로 확대 운영

제주특별자치도가 아라동에 운영 중인 버스중앙차로를 확대합니다.

이를 위해 올해 6억 3천여 만원을 투입해 국립제주박물관과 동서광로, 노형 월산마을을 잇는 11km 구간에 대한 버스중앙차로제 실시설계 용역을 진행하고 있습니다.

제주도는 다음달 주민설명회를 실시하고 사업 예산이 확보되면 내년부터 시행할 예정입니다.

현재 운영 중인 아라동 구간도 아라초등학교에서 제주대병원까지 중앙차로 구간을 확대할 계획입니다.
