2. Subsidies for more electric vehicle models
Government now supports purchase of 26 models

The government is expanding the number of electric vehicle models for which it subsidizes purchases.

Provincial officials say the government is boosting the number from 12 to 26.

The provincial government set a goal of having 4,000 new electric vehicles sold on the island this year. People have bought 26-hundred of them, or about 67 percent of the goal. 11-hundred of those vehicles have already been delivered to their owners.

Local official say people selected for the subsidies must receive their qualifying electric vehicle within two months or the subsidy is revoked.

전기자동차 보조금 지원 대상이 26종으로 늘어납니다.

제주도는 전기차 지원 대상이 지난해 12종에서 올해 26종으로 확대됐다고 밝혔습니다.

올해 전기차 보급 목표는 4천여 대로 이 가운데 67%인 2천 600여 대가 접수됐으며 1천 100여 대가 출고됐습니다.

제주도는 보조금 지원 대상으로 통보 받은후 2개월안에 차량이 출고되지 않으면 지원이 취소되기 때문에 주의해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
