1. Confirmation hearings this month for mayoral nominees
Go Hee-beom in Jeju City, Yang Yoon-kyeong in Seogwipo

The new provincial administration’s first two mayoral nominees will sit for confirmation hearings at the provincial council this month.

The provincial government has submitted requests for hearings on Go Hee-beom for Jeju City mayor and Yang Yoon-kyeong for Seogwipo mayor.

The council will now form what’s called a one-point committee specifically for the hearings within 20 days, and then hold the actual hearings.

The governor will then officially appoint the mayors, regardless of the results of the confirmation hearings.

행정시장 인사청문회 이달 실시

민선 7기 첫 행정시장 인사청문회가 이달에 열립니다.

제주특별자치도는 1일 도의회에 고희범 제주시장 내정자와 양윤경 서귀포시장 내정자에 대한 인사청문 요청서를 제출했습니다.

이에따라 제주도의회는 20일 이내에 원포인트 인사청문특별위원회를 구성해
행정시장 인사청문회를 실시할 예정입니다.

인사청문회가 끝나면 도의회 동의 여부와 관계없이 도지사가 시장을 최종 임명합니다.
