4. Province plans to ease reconstruction restrictions
Ordinance makes it easier to rebuild old houses as apartment buildings

The provincial government plans to ease restrictions on rebuilding some types of residences.

It will allow the reconstruction of standalone houses or multiplex housing into apartment buildings. At least two unit owners will have to agree to the reconstruction, but they won’t have to form an association.

The province has given advance notice of the ordinance that would make it easier to rebuild vacant and old standalone houses into apartments.

It also allows the reconstruction of townhouse communities of fewer than 200 units.

If the provincial council passes the bill next month, the changes will go into effect in October.

'소규모 재건축' 가능 주택조례 입법 예고

앞으로 집주인 2명 이상 모이면 조합을 설립하지 않아도 낡은 단독주택이나 다세대주택을 공동주택으로 신축할 수 있습니다.

제주특별자치도는 빈집과 노후 단독주택 등을 공동주택으로 개량하는 내용의
소규모주택 정비 조례를 입법예고했습니다.

특히 200세대 미만 연립주택 단지에서도 소규모 재건축 사업이 가능하도록 규정이 마련됐습니다.

해당 조례는 다음달 도의회를 통과하면 10월부터 시행됩니다.
