2. Security certification system for rural guesthouses
Numerous benefits for certified businesses

The provincial government is introducing a security certification system for rural guesthouses.

Officials have finished drawing up guidelines for the system and are implementing it this month.

Businesses must meet 20 requirements in five categories to be certified. They include locks inside and outside guest rooms, the use of CCTV security cameras, and proper hygienic practices. Business operators also must be free of all administrative punishments over the previous two years.

Certified guesthouses will be given priority when the government distributes tourism development funding, and they will be promoted through official websites.

이달부터 농어촌민박에 안전인증제가 도입되고 있습니다.

안전인증제로 지정받으려면 객실 내외부의 잠금장치와 주변 CCTV 설치, 최근 2년간 행정처분, 위생관리 청결 등 5개 분야에 20개 항목의 요건을 충족해야 합니다.

안전인증 민박업소는 관광진흥기금 우선 알선과 함께 각종 홈페이지를 통해 홍보 지원을 받게 됩니다.
